This is an open seminar aimed at bringing together Tohoku University's materials research activities and promoting organic collaboration. The first seminar in 2020 and the second one in 2021 were held as webinars, and the third one in 2022 was held as a hybrid event on September 5 as the 3rd Materials Science Festa. Since the first time, the event has been organized by Prof. Kyosuke Yoshimi, reflecting the opinions of the CRCMS wing leaders, and associate professors from various departments have participated in the organizing committee. Prof. Yoshimi has been serving as the director of the "Research Center for Structural Materials for Extreme Environments," a MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) project for data creation and utilization of materials, of which Tohoku University is the representative institution, since 2022.
