Designing a Real-time Electrochemical techniques as well as Computational and Data Analysis for Energy Storage Technologies
Our key research perspective is the understanding of the processes undergoing electrochemistry in real-time operation. Designing the unique methodology allow us to observe the phenomena within nano-micro scale of not only in the electrode materials but also other components relating to energy storage systems. The integrating of Artificial Intelligence for big data analysis is one of our research interests.
Recent Research Findings
In our lab, we aim to integrate multidisciplinary researchers whose background in different areas including Physics, Chemistry, and Computation to create the novel method and tool for fundamental study of energy storage phenomena. Currently, we focus on designing and building an unique experimental setup such as in-situ electrochemical cell for specific electrochemical experiments under optical microscopy and other characterization techniques. We particularly interested in charge transfer phenomena within the electrode and electrolyte materials as well as solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) formation in micro to nano scale. Moreover, we also focus on the formulations based on theoretical aspect relating to charge transfer process, quantum chemistry, and physics to close the gap between real experimental data vs. ideal electrochemical signal analysis. We also collaborate with data scientist to create the tool for big data analysis in our field of research.
