Recruitment of Associate Professors, Lecturers, or Assistant Professors

Tohoku University, one of the Designated National Universities in Japan, has selected four research fields as Core Research Clusters including materials science to further strengthen the university’s research capabilities. The Core Research Cluster for Materials Science will recruit two researchers (Associate Professor, Lecturer, or Assistant Professor). The successful applicants are expected to conduct interdisciplinary research through their expertise and contribute to promote materials science.

Until March 31st, 2026. For those who have successfully passed review process, the term can be extended up to March 31st, 2028.

3. Summary of your previous research (within 2 pages in A4 size format)
4. Research plan describing how you can contribute to the research of the material based on your scientific background (within 2 pages in A4 size format). At the beginning of this section, please state one of the following areas (e.g., structure and environmental resistant area, energy and material conversion area, spintronics and quantum physics area, soft matter and biomaterial area) that most closely relate to your field of research.
5. Brief commentary of you three principal papers (about 150 words for each)
6. Names and contact information of two or three references
